Today, i wanna show you how you can make better use of your chat logs.

you might sometimes miss important /tells or /l messages over something called battle-spam. be weary of this little monster, as it could sometimes get you in trouble. this entry will attempt to solve this problem for you, and hopefully, make "battle-spam" less beknownst to the citizens of Eorzea.

First off, did you know you can have multiple chat log windows showing in game? well, you can, up to a total of, wait for it, two!

so, to cut it short do the following:
1) configuration window from the game menu, and have a look.
2) Select the Chat Log "settings" button.
3) select the "unused" button
4) tick the "enable" checkbox
5) choose a name for this chat log in the following field
6) next, you can customize the log

personally, i filtered out everything except system messages, tells, and all linkshell messages.

never will you be subject to the ugly beast that is battle spam.
